Fully Funded British Master's Degree Program Scholarship for Caribbean Students from CeheveningChevening, the United Kingdom’s Global Award Program, offers scholarships for one-year master’s degree programs to outstanding professionals and future leaders from the Caribbean.

Through the Chevening Scholarship Program, scholars will get the opportunity to focus on their coursework, develop academically and professionally, experience British culture and build lasting relationships.

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country.
  • Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Have an undergraduate degree and meet the entry requirements of a post-graduate program.
  • Have at least 2 years work experience.
  • Apply and be accepted to 3 different eligible UK university courses by July 12.
  • Meet the Chevening English language requirement by July 12.

The Organization of American States (OAS) offers multiple scholarships for Caribbean students to pursue undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and other professional development studies at partner universities and educational organizations in the United States, Mexico, South America, Asia and the Middle East onsite and online.


To be eligible for the OAS scholarship opportunities, applicants must be:

  • Be admitted to the program of study at the partner university or educational organization.
  • Be a citizen and/or legal permanent resident of any OAS member state  (except the United States)
  • Have not received other scholarship from the OAS for the same level of studies and/or program of study.
  • Not be an OAS staff or individual or staff of a Permanent Mission to the OAS or immediate relatives of a staff of a Permanent Mission to the OAS.
  • Meet other requirements specific defined by each scholarship program, like the proficiency in the language of instruction.

Florida Caribbean Institute Out-of-State Tuition Waiver for Caribbean International StudentsThe Florida Caribbean Institute (FCI)  offers renewable Out-of-State Tuition Waivers for Caribbean International Students who have been admitted or meet the requirements for admission to any university or community college of the public education system of the State of Florida. Out-of-State tuition waivers can represent a 60% discount on tuition international students pay.

A limited number of these waivers are available, so run, don’t walk, if you are eligible to apply.

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an international student with a F1, or J1 visa.
  • Be fully admitted to a state college or university.
  • Have at least a 3.0 or higher GPA.
  • Be a citizen of the Caribbean from:
    – Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados      – Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic          – Grenada
    – Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis     – St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines               – Trinidad and Tobago 
  • Be committed to returning to your Caribbean country after the completion of your studies, for a length of time equal to their exemption period, as required.
